I was told that we are going to have an amazing trainer. What I haven’t been told is that she is one of the best and kind person that I know. She is such emphatic that she could make over 15 people with different backgrounds to talk and to open about their past traumas. Being part of the organization team, we wanted a year ago to have such a workshop but we were too afraid that we won’t find the right trainer if sensitive subjects would appear and I can say Ema handled all the situations excellent, I couldn’t find a better approach. And now about the Yoga part, I have tried yoga before, but I can say that what I have done wasn’t Yoga, they were some exercises. Yoga is so much more than some moves, it is filled with feelings. Right now, Ema settled such a high standard for Yoga, that I am actually afraid to go to yoga to someone else and I chose to do yoga alone at home, from what she recommended. This workshop changed my life and I am so happy that I was part of it.

Living and working in Washington, D.C. can cause tension, stress and anxiety. However, while attending a workshop here in the city (StartingBloc), I was fortunate to participate in one of Ema’s meditation and yoga sessions. I was guided through a highly relaxed state that allowed me to “let go” of those thoughts that were causing friction and discomfort. This translated into my body feeling wonderful, rejuvenated, and energized. This amazing experience has stayed with me as a constant tool to ground my body, soul and mind whenever I’m feeling out of alignment with life. I cannot recommend Ema and her work enough!

Looking back at myself before the International Students’ Week in Timisoara I can say that now I’m a more confident and more patient person than I used to be. It was my first experience of yoga and I was sceptical at first. Didn’t think that these classes would really change me. I‘ve tried yoga before, but never experienced the mental part of it. The best thing about the workshop with Ema was the chance to combine physical and mental practices. I felt greatly connected to other participants, while we were discussing our problems and searching for solutions. It seemed as though Ema was working with each one of us separately and all together at the same time. After finishing the workshop, I can say that I feel peaceful and extremely grateful. To the world, on the whole, and, of course, to Ema. It was a very significant experience!

Although I tried Yoga before the workshops a few times (with the help of YouTube videos), it was only at the workshops with Ema that I started to really enjoy it and feel like it has a positive effect on my body, mind and soul. I loved the structure of the workshops, especially the fact that when we did yoga, we always revised the exercises from the previous sessions – thanks for this, I remember them clearly and can do them on my own now. Ema created a warm, open space for us to share our personal struggles and feelings, I felt a deep sense of connection with the other participants. We got a general overview of the seven chakras, which is something I will continue working with after the workshops. I never looked at my watch during the workshops, I could listen to Ema and her wise words for hours, it always felt after the workshops that it was too short. To sum it up, I am highly satisfied with the workshop and would recommend it to everybody.
